into the wild

This movie (released in 2007), directed and produced by Sean Penn is based on the history of Christopher McCandless. As in any movie depicting a story, it does not reflect 100% the true facts (but who cares?)

To some idealists Alex Supertramp represents a pure and fresh meaning of life, where material things do not play a role at all (of course you need boots!)
His detractors argue that it’s quite easy for a person like him to “evade”, and the most fierce ones even affirm the guy had lost its common sense, or that he was just stupid.

To find the truth, make yourself one question:
Whom do I prefer, this stupid “idealist” guy or the smart people that rule our lives (politicians, businessmen, etc.)?

Anyway, I strongly recommend watching the movie, and if you do not like it, at least you will enjoy the soundtrack (it could not be otherwise with Eddie Vedder).

It’s better watching the movie before reading the history of Chris.

Apparently the “magic bus” is still there (can you distinguish it?)

Finally, had it been said by Chris or not, (who cares?) a very nice quote:
“Happiness is only real when shared”

and a curiosity:
a different? “magic bus”
